How to Apply for the Curaçao DI Card

Complete your Digital Immigration Card in 6 simple steps. Free at the official portal - takes 5 to 10 minutes.

How do I complete the Curacao DI Card?

Follow these six simple steps. Have your passport and flight details ready before you start.

1

Go to the Official Portal

Go to the official portal at dicardcuracao.com - the only official, free portal for the Curaçao Digital Immigration Card. Choose "Fill out new DI Card." If you are a returning visitor, you can retrieve your stored personal data and only update your travel details.

Beware of unofficial third-party websites that charge a fee. The DI Card is always free at dicardcuracao.com.

2

Enter Your Personal Details

Enter your personal details - your full name exactly as it appears on your passport - no nicknames or shortened versions. Also provide:

  • Date of birth
  • Nationality
  • Passport number (check character by character)
  • Passport expiry date
NOTE: Your name must match your passport exactly - do not use nicknames. A name mismatch is one of the most common causes of delays at immigration.
3

Add Your Travel Details

Add your travel details - enter your flight number, airline name, and arrival date. Make sure your flight is confirmed before entering these details - submitting an old or unconfirmed flight number is a common mistake.

If your flight changes after you submit, you can update your DI Card at dicardcuracao.com without starting a new form. There is no need to start a new form.

NOTE: A confirmed flight prevents errors on your form.
4

Enter Your Accommodation

Enter your accommodation - provide full accommodation details:

  • Hotel: Full hotel name and complete street address
  • Private host: Host's full name, complete address, and phone number

Incomplete accommodation details can cause problems at immigration. Always provide the full address, not just the city or area.

5

Provide Your Length of Stay and Email

Provide your length of stay and email address, then submit the form. Enter your intended length of stay in nights (minimum 1, maximum 90). Then provide a valid email address - this is where your PDF confirmation will be sent immediately after submission.

Make sure you have access to this email inbox. The PDF confirmation is your proof of completion and must be shown on arrival.

6

Receive Your PDF Confirmation by Email and Save It

Receive your PDF confirmation by email and print or save it. Review all details carefully before submitting. Check especially:

  • Name matches passport exactly
  • Passport number is correct
  • Flight number and arrival date are accurate
  • Accommodation address is complete

Submit the form. Your PDF confirmation arrives by email immediately. Print it or save it to your phone. Some airlines check the DI Card at the departure gate before boarding - have your PDF ready before you leave for the airport.

How far in advance can I complete the DI Card?

Too Early

More than 7 days before departure. The portal won't accept submissions earlier than 7 days before travel.

Recommended

You can complete the DI Card up to 7 days before departure. We recommend filling it in 24–48 hours before your flight, once your travel details are confirmed. This timing helps you confirm your final travel details first.

Too Late

At the airport or in the departure queue. Patchy Wi-Fi and last-minute stress make errors more likely.

How long is the Curacao DI Card valid?

The DI Card is valid from submission until entry is granted. It is a single-entry document for one trip only.

NOTE: The card remains valid if your flight is delayed by up to 1 day.

You need a new DI Card for each separate trip to Curaçao. One card cannot be used for multiple visits.

How long can I stay in Curaçao?

Your permitted stay depends on your nationality. The immigration officer makes the final decision at arrival.

  • US and Canadian citizens can stay up to 180 days.
  • EU nationals can stay up to 90 days.
  • Visa holders may stay as stated in their visa.
NOTE: The maximum is 90 nights per visit and 180 days per calendar year.

Can I Edit or Update the DI Card?

Yes - you can edit your DI Card after submitting. Corrections are simple to make before you arrive.

To retrieve your form, go to dicardcuracao.com and use your email address, date of birth, and passport number.

Always fix errors before you travel to avoid problems at immigration. If your flight changes after submission, update the travel details to match your actual itinerary.

NOTE: Always fix errors before you travel to avoid problems at immigration.

Returning visitors can retrieve their stored personal data and simply update their travel details for each new trip - saving time on repeat visits. This saves time - you do not need to start from scratch.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

Using a nickname instead of your legal name

Your name must match your passport exactly. Use your full legal name.

One form for the whole family

Every traveler - including infants - needs their own individual DI Card.

Wrong or unconfirmed flight number

Wait until your flight is confirmed. Update if it changes after submission.

Incomplete accommodation address

Provide the full hotel name and street address. "A hotel in Willemstad" is not sufficient.

Using unofficial paid websites

The DI Card is free at dicardcuracao.com. Never pay a third-party site for this form.

Not saving the PDF before leaving home

Airlines may check your DI Card at the departure gate. Save the PDF before you go.

Do Cruise Passengers Need the DI Card?

Cruise passengers need the DI Card only if they disembark and clear immigration. This applies at the Willemstad Cruise Terminal and other cruise ports.

NOTE: Passengers who remain on board - usually for stays under 48 hours - generally do not need the form.

Check with your cruise line if you are unsure. Complete the card before you leave if you plan to go ashore.
